This tiny, loosely coiled shell, has a flat spire and weak to absent peripheral angulation. the operculum is circular and yellow brown or brown. The uncoiled shell is unique in described Australian tateids.

Type locality: In the main spring, Yowah Creek Springs, on Bundoona Station about 36 km NW of Eulo, SW Queensland. Lives in the very shallow spring outflow in coarse sediment.
Lives in clean, rather coarse sediment in the very shallow outflow of a single spring. The water was clean and well oxygenated, and the sediment coarse. Lives with E. carinata.
Found only in one of the Yowah Creek Springs, on Bundoona Station about 36 km NW of Eulo, southwest Queensland.
