Nanocochlea stylesae is somewhat similar in shape to N. exigua, although the former has a short ctenidium, lacks a distinct opercular peg, and tends to have more cusps on the inner marginal teeth. It differs from N. damperensis in its narrower shell and less convex whorls, and fewer ctenidial filaments.
