Fern to 45cm tall or taller or prostrate. Leaves scattered along the stems or crowded. Leaves 12-45cm long or more, 30-160mm broad, hairless above, sparsely scaly below, divided into segments which are again once- or twice-lobed, the edges scalloped and often curved down. Family Adiantaceae in SA.
Differs from Cheilanthes sieberi ssp. sieberi in that the fronds are broadly triangular, 3-16cm wide at the widest point.
