Annual forb to 15cm tall or sprawling. Leaves alternating up the stems, 0.3-1.4cm long, less than 1mm wide, flattened cylindrical, hairy, tips more or less with a small point. Flower heads cup-shaped or oval, greenish, with inconspicuous 'petals', borne singly at the ends of the stems. Rare Vic.
Differs from Elachanthus glaber in that the stems and leaves are hairy.
