Biology [Baker, 1923:  253-254]: Puparia appear covered with whitish wax on the leaf leaving an oval ring of wax when removed.

Taxonomy [Baker, 1923:  253-254]:

Cephalic, 2nd & 3rd anterior abdominal compound pores subequal in size;  1st  abdominal compound pore largest;  3 posterior abdominal compound pores reduced in size with the 2nd posterior abdominal pore offset.

Cephalic submedian setae absent.

Lingula varies from inserted to slightly extended (Baker 1923) or to obviously exserted.
