Distribution and Habitat

Bullsbrook to Busselton, growing in sandy soils in near coastal woodlands and shrublands.

Description

A rare species 250–600 mm high with a hairy leaf 100–200 mm long by 7–12 mm wide and up to three large red, green, yellow and cream flowers 70–100 mm across.

Distinguishing Features

It is distinguished from the related Scott River Spider Orchid (Caladenia thinicola) by its larger flowers and more northerly distribution.
