Distribution and Habitat

Dunsborough to Northcliffe, growing in sandy and sandy-clay soils in forests, woodlands and coastal shrublands.

Description

A late flowering species 250–450 mm high with a hairy leaf 100–260 mm long by 9–12 mm wide and up to three green, yellow and red flowers 60–80 mm across.

Distinguishing Features

It is distinguished from the related Granite Spider Orchid (Caladenia granitora) by its green, yellow and red, rather than yellowish-cream, white and red flowers and more westerly distribution.
