Distribution and Habitat

East of Esperance to Eneabba, growing in sandy soils in forests, woodlands and shrublands.

Description

A common species 100–300 mm high with a smooth often prominently veined, heart-shaped, ground-hugging leaf 10–14 mm long by 9–12 mm wide and a single dull greenish-yellow and purplish-red flower 3–5 mm across.

Distinguishing Features

It is related to Dwarf Hammer Orchid (Drakaea micrantha) but has a larger flower with a larger, more bloated labellum and distinctive column which lacks an apical point to its apex.
