Distribution and Habitat

Kalbarri to Nerren Nerren Station, growing in clay-loam soils in mallee woodlands.

Description

A common northern species 120–180 mm high with seven to ten leaves forming a ground-hugging basal rosette 20–40 mm across and up to seven translucent, green and white or brown and white flowers 8–11 mm across.

Distinguishing Features

It is distinguished from the related Spoon-lipped Rufous Greenhood (Pterostylis spathulata) by its smaller flowers, straight rather than upcurved lateral sepals and more northerly distribution.
