Liriomyza obscurata Spencer 1963
Unknown, but Spencer (1977) suspects Billiardiera scandens could be the host.
Oceania: Australia (Australian Capital Territory, New South Wales, Victoria)
Frons brown; third antennal segment yellow; mesopleura entirely black; femora mainly yellow; scutellum yellow. Wing length 1.7-2.3 mm; second (outer) cross-vein (dm-cu) present. Male genitalia with distiphallus broad near base and narrowed to a cone at apex (Spencer 1963).
Possibly synonymous with Liriomyza antipoda Harrison from Antipodes Island (Spencer 1976). Further study is needed before synonymy can be established (Spencer 1977).
