Key to Asilidae subfamily taxa sensu Dikow (2009)

This matrix-based identification key is provided to place all Asilidae genera in the phylogenetic classification of Dikow (2009), which recognises 14 taxa: Asilinae, Bathypogoninae, Brachyrhopalinae, Dasypogoninae, Dioctriinae, Laphriinae, Leptogastrinae, Ommatiinae, Phellinae, Stenopogoninae, Stichopogoninae, Tillobromatinae, Trigonomiminae, and Willistonininae.

The phylogenetic analysis, which is the basis for this key, was published in the Bulletin of the American Museum of Natural History 319 (downlaod a free PDF at: http://digitallibrary.amnh.org/dspace/handle/2246/7).
